Australian Travel is intended to help individuals and legal entities in their administrative travel paperwork. To apply for an ETA online (VISA for Australia) you must be outside Australia and intend to visit for tourism or business visitor activities.

The ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) is an authorization to enter Australian territory, and is electronically linked to your passport.
Australia ETA is for short term stays for tourism or business visitor activities. Business visitor activities do not include work.
If you want to do short-term, highly specialised, non-ongoing work in Australia, you can apply for a Temporary Work (Short Stay Activity) visa (Subclass 400) in the government site.

ETA authorization is valid for 12 months from its date of issue or until your passport expires, whichever is earlier. During this time you can get in australia whenever you want.
To apply for an ETA online you have to be resident outside of Australia.
Anyone who arrives in Australia without a valid travel document, visa or authority may be refused entry to or delayed until their identity and claims to enter Australia have been confirmed.
An eVisitor allows you to enter Australia multiple times over a twelve month period and stay for up to three months on each occasion.
To be eligible to apply for an ETA or eVisitor you must:
- be intending to visit Australia for tourism or business purposes
- hold an eVisitor eligible passport, and be located outside Australia.
You must be free from tuberculosis, and have no criminal convictions for which they have been sentenced for a total combined period of 12 months or more, whether or not the sentence/s were served.

To apply for an ETA online (VISA for Australia) you have to be resident outside of Australia, you need your passport, email address and credit card.

This visa lets you visit Australia:
  • to visit or for business visitor purposes
  • as many times as you want, for up to a year
  • and stay up to three months for each visit.​
