Cradle Mountain Travel Information

Cradle Mountain is the central feature of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. The park is home to a multitude of species including wombats, rufous wallabies, and the rarely sighted Tasmanian devil. Many bushwalking trails of varying levels of difficulty are accessible within the National Park, the most famous being the Overland Track which starts at Cradle Mountain and travels for 5 days through mountainous terrain.
