Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is a 70km stretch of pristine, patrolled Queensland coastline situated 80km south of Brisbane. It is referred to as the theme park capital of the southern hemisphere being home to attractions such as Dreamworld, Movie World, Wet‘n’Wild and Seaworld. Perhaps the Gold Coast’s biggest attraction is the 245 days of sunshine each year that provides perfect conditions for the vast array of sports available in the area such as surfing, kayaking, quad-biking, and rock climbing. The fun never stops on the Gold Coast – its nightclubs, discos and cabaret shows mean 24-hour entertainment both on and off the beach.

The Gold Coast is where Australians themselves go on holiday, as they too are lured by the appeal of World Heritage Listed rainforests, theme parks, fine eateries and great shopping precincts. The lush tropical hinterland situated just a short distance from the glorious beaches is referred to as 'the green behind the gold,' where natural treasures such as woodland, rainforest, rock pools and waterfalls can be explored. The Gold Coast is also one of Australia's greatest adventure locations with schools in which to learn water and adrenalin sports including bungee jumping and abseiling.
