Canberra

Canberra is Australia’s capital city, situated within the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). The city is surrounded by native bushland, the Snowy Mountains, over 30 wineries and indigenous wildlife in the Namdgi National Park and the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. Canberra takes up only 47% of the 2330km of ACT; the rest of the area is bushland, hinterland and National Park. The city itself is in a lakeside location, and offers intriguing glimpses of Australia’s past through visits to the new and old Parliament Houses, War Memorials and the National Gallery.
